How this is calculated
Night shifts often start before midnight and end the next morning. When clock-out is earlier than clock-in on a 24-hour clock, this tool adds 24 hours to the elapsed time so the shift length is correct.
Unpaid break minutes are subtracted from total minutes worked. Enter your base hourly rate to see gross pay for the shift. Shift differentials, overtime premiums, and taxes are not modeled here.
