How this is calculated
Texas is one of nine states with no broad personal income tax on wages. Your paycheck still includes federal income tax withholding and employee FICA, but there is no Texas state income tax line on a typical W-2.
This calculator annualizes your gross pay, applies 2026 federal brackets and standard deductions, then subtracts Social Security and Medicare. Pre-tax 401(k) and health insurance reduce taxable wages before the estimate runs.
